Fox News contributor Sean Duffy suggests Biden is ‘compromised’ by China

With controversy continuing to rage over the Chinese surveillance balloon that was belatedly shot down over the weekend after it crossed half the country, and President Joe Biden’s lack of decisive action in a timely manner, one Fox News contributor raised the possibility that the nation’s leader may be beholden to the communist regime in Beijing.

Former Republican congressman Sean Duffy joined the crew on Monday’s edition of “Outnumbered” where the ramifications of the spy balloon’s troubling flight were a hot topic, including potential congressional actions regarding TikTok, the enormously popular social media app that China is using to reportedly spy on Americans.

“Lawmakers from both sides of the political aisle now support taking action,” co-host Harris Faulkner informed viewers, noting that lawmakers are well aware of the security risk even though a number of Democrats including California Rep. Adam Schiff and New Jersey Senator Cory Booker regularly use the controversial app despite it being a pipeline to Chinese intelligence.

“So I think what’s interesting, you have these guys that have very sensitive information,” Duffy said. “They serve on committees that are very powerful, they get classified information, oftentimes they’ll have two phones but I think there’s crossover between those two phones and if your one personal phone is compromised, that information is flowing to China so it really is a security risk.”

“There’s only two ways you can handle it, one, the Congress can act and they can ban TikTok, but if they do, Joe Biden has to sign that bill, and Joe Biden was the one who got rid of the Trump ban on TikTok,” he continued, expressing doubt that Biden would go along with any prohibitions against the Chinese app after he overrode Trump, revoking the former president’s executive order that sought to address the threat posed by it.

“So why did he?” Faulkner asked. “Just because it had Trump’s name on it?”

“Listen, I’m a ‘Joe Biden is compromised guy,’” Duffy replied, suggesting that Biden is essentially a Chinese sleeper agent. “I don’t know why, otherwise he wouldn’t have done it.”

He then suggested that a better approach would be through leveraging the “public-private partnership” through pressure on tech giants Google and Apple.

“But the second way you do it is you say ‘listen Apple and Google you have to take this off of your play store,'” he said. “Well, Apple makes all of their iPhones, all of their computers over in China, if they take TikTok off their app store, China will retaliate,” suggesting that the communists could act against Apple which manufactures the bulk of their products in Chinese factories.

The spy balloon incident makes it more likely that Congress will seriously look at taking dramatic action against the addicting app that was designed by the Chinese company ByteDance and is especially popular with the youngest generation of Americans.

“@tiktok_us is China’s backdoor into Americans’ lives. It threatens our children’s privacy as well as their mental health. Last month Congress banned it on all government devices. Now I will introduce legislation to ban it nationwide,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) wrote on Twitter last month before Beijing’s balloon entered U.S. airspace.

“The Communist Party of China has the ability & intent to use @tiktok_us to influence, mislead & harm America,” tweeted Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) who is another critic of the app. “That is why you see growing bipartisan support to ban it.”

Even if an emerging bipartisan consensus of lawmakers moves to take decisive action by banning TikTok, as Duffy points out, any such bill that is punitive of China is likely destined to die a quiet death on Biden’s desk.
