‘No way that happened’: Swalwell thumped good after sharing alleged incident with hostile Trump fan

As the guy who slept with a Chinese spy, Rep. Eric Swalwell’s (D-Calif.) credibility is right up there with liberal looney Keith Olbermann’s, but, regardless of how embarrassingly it turns out for him, it seems that never stops him from making outrageous claims on Twitter.

In his latest tale, Swalwell related yet another run-in with a “cultish” Trump supporter and an oddly politically savvy child and before it was over, he was accusing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) of inspiring a random caller to threaten to kill his kids.

In what one can only presume was an attempt to once again paint Trump supporters as unhinged, Swalwell tweeted on Wednesday, “Today I gave a tour in the Capitol and was stopped by a father with his young boy. The father yelled at me ‘Hey Swalwell’ and then told his son, ‘that’s Swalwell. He’s trouble. He doesn’t back Trump.'”

“I kept walking and felt sad for the boy,” he shared. “He’s being raised in a cult family.”

The response was swift and brutal.

“Today I climbed Mt Everest, took a shuttle to the moon, and won the Power Ball,” replied the often-sarcastic Catturd. “Making up stories is fun.”

“Putting aside that you made that up,” said The Blaze’s Dave Rubin, “you’re just generally a total dirtbag.”

But it was MTG’s snarky reaction that sent Swalwell over the edge.

“No way that happened,” she stated. “Because we all know good Trump supporting fathers would say, ‘that’s the Democrat who had sex with a Chinese spy.'”

From there, Swalwell doubled down on the dubious and produced an audio recording he claims was “incited” by Greene.

“Marjorie loves to play the victim,” he stated. “But she’s an inciter of violence. Her constant attacks — even after the FBI said I was never suspected of wrongdoing –lead to threatening calls like this.”

“This caller from today threatened to kill my three children,” he alleged.

On the 22-second recording could be heard a man with a thick and non-specific Southern accent who repeatedly called Swalwell things we can’t print before saying, “We’re coming to your house this weekend. We’re going to get you and them little mutant, fascist… offspring of yours.”

(WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE)

If Twitter was supposed to be shocked and horrified, Swalwell was in for a disappointment — one he should be accustomed to, given that he has been buried on social media in the past for making claims of incredibly convenient and totally spontaneous conversations.

Few were buying his Smollett-like “threatening caller” routine.

“Did you edit out the part where he said this is MAGA country and fired 3 rounds into the air?” asked one user.

“Is that you pretending to be southern?” another inquired.

“Honestly, you would think that f***ing a Chinese spy would have gained him a little skill at faking this crap,” another wrote. It’s not just that @ericswalweel is a liar and fake, it’s that he’s so epically bad at it.”
