President Biden sat down for a scripted interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle on Friday which was obviously intended to plug him for the presidency in 2024 despite the fact that he will be 82 years old with serious doubts swirling about his cognitive abilities.

Biden aggressively defended running for reelection at his advanced age. He will be the oldest president in history to do so. He justified it by telling Ruhle that he “know[s] more than the vast majority of people.”

The president effusively praised Vice President Kamala Harris. He cringingly claimed that she hadn’t “gotten the credit she deserves.” Many would contend she’s gotten exactly the credit she deserves.

“Look, I just think that Vice President Harris hasn’t gotten the credit she deserves,” he claimed. “She was Attorney General of the state of California. She has been a United States senator. She is really very, very good. And with everything going on, she hasn’t gotten the attention she deserves.”

Ruhle addressed his Harris comments by bringing up what many Americans are thinking, “Critics would say you’re elevating her because they think you wouldn’t serve a full term, and it is fair to say that there’s not a Fortune 500 company in the world looking to hire a CEO in his 80s.”

Almost three quarters (73%) of voters believe Joe Biden’s age will be a serious problem for his reelection chances in 2024, according to a @Rasmussen_Poll coming up this morning.

“So why would an 82-year-old Joe Biden be the right person for the most important job in the world?” she disingenuously asked the president.

“Because I have acquired a hell of a lot of wisdom and know more than the vast majority of people,” Biden arrogantly replied.

He also laughably claimed that he was “more experienced than anybody that’s ever run for the office,” and added, “I think I’ve proven myself to be honorable as well as also effective.”

Earlier in the interview, Ruhle noted that Biden featured Vice President Harris “10 times” in his first reelection video in April. She also pointed out that when former President Obama ran for reelection, he didn’t mention Biden once.

“When Obama was in that position, he didn’t mention you, sir,” she bluntly stated. Biden responded that while he “became very good friends” with Obama during the Obama-Biden administration, “we just had a slightly different style of how we do things.”

Biden just couldn’t resist during the interview taking a jab at House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, whom he referred to as “an honest man” who “sold away everything” to the “far, far right,” once again soap-boxing on divisiveness.

Asked by Ruhle whether McCarthy was “an honest broker for you to negotiate with,” Biden replied, “I think he’s an honest man.”

“I think he’s in a position though. He had to make a deal that was pretty, you know… 15 votes. 15 votes where he just about sold away everything that he… that the far, far right,” he declared, referring to the concessions McCarthy had to make to a group of Republicans in Congress.

Biden asserted that “there’s a Republican Party and there’s the MAGA Republicans, and the MAGA Republicans really have put him in a position where in order to stay speaker, he has to agree… he’s agreed to things that maybe he believes, but are just extreme.”

Ruhle asked, “Given the power that they have, is there anything you believe you can get done in the next two years on a bipartisan basis, and if so, what?”

Biden answered, “The answer is yes, I do if I get a chance to get votes. They have to vote.”
