Chelsea Clinton answers accusations over USAID money going to family foundation

Chelsea Clinton addressed the rumor on Monday that she’d collected a whopping $84 million paycheck from the now-defunct United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

According to the rumor, USAID gave $84 million to the notorious Clinton Foundation, which then funneled that money into Clinton’s pockets. But according to Clinton, the rumor is false.

Look:

“Lies and conspiracies about my family and me are nothing new,” she tweeted Monday. “Still, I am particularly troubled by the absurd claims that continue to pervade social media this week, fact checks be damned.

“Facts: I’m proud of the Clinton Foundation work that has helped tens of millions of people worldwide. Our impact speaks for itself. I don’t take a cent from the Foundation. Never have. In fact, my family personally contributes meaningfully to our work each year,” she added.

“Misinformation isn’t just noise—it’s a weapon. Efforts to undermine good work won’t stop us, and we stand in solidarity with those who are committed to truth, public health, progress, and the endless potential of our future,” she continued.

Unfortunately, because of the Clintons’ history of lying and debauchery, nobody believed her.

Observe:

But according to a fact-check from Forbes, the Clinton Foundation has never received any USAID money. However, a separate Clinton project, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, did receive $7.5 million in 2019 “to fund health services in Zambia between 2019 and 2021.”

Part of the reason for the distrust from the public is because of the Clinton Foundation’s history of collecting money and then ostensibly using it to fix up Haiti, a country that’s still a royal mess.

Writing for Politico in 2015, Jonathan M. Katz noted that the Clintons “repeatedly played a key role in Haiti’s politics, helping to pick its national leaders and driving hundreds of millions of dollars in private aid, investment and U.S. taxpayer money toward its development.”

“They’ve brought with them a network of friends and global corporations that never would’ve been here otherwise,” Katz continued. “Together, this network of power and money has left indelible marks on almost every aspect of the Haitian economy. The island nation, in many ways, represents ground zero for the confusing and often conflict-ridden intersection of her State Department, the Clinton family’s foundation and both of their foreign policies.”

The problem, of course, is that despite all the money spent, Haiti is still a hellhole.

Meanwhile, political consultant Peter Schweizer wrote in his book “Clinton Cash” that of the “billions of dollars” that were spent in Haiti, the majority ended up in worthless projects – and in the pockets of the Clintons’ friends and allies.”

“Hillary would control the purse-strings and Bill would have enormous control over where the money was spent. He was ‘Haiti’s money man,’” Schweizer wrote, according to Fox News.
