Liz Cheney says real men, like Kevin Costner, put country over party like she does

U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney was proud to announce that she has secured the liberal Hollywood vote, but it remains to be seen how that helps the Republican lawmaker in her home state of Wyoming.

One thing is certain, Cheney needs all the help she can get in the GOP primary given that she is trailing badly in her bid to win reelection to her House seat, and this is where she turned to A-list actor Kevin Costner for a desperately needed boost.

Taking to Twitter, the Trump-hating congresswoman touted an apparent endorsement from Costner… while arrogantly insulting those who may not back her.

“Real men put country over party,” Cheney tweeted, along with a photo of the actor wearing a t-shirt that read: “I’m for Liz Cheney.”

Costner appears to be on the set of the Paramount television drama “Yellowstone,” which takes its name from the Yellowstone National Park which is located in parts of Wyoming and Montana. The actor stars in the drama series but that doesn’t mean he is a resident of Wyoming — Costner has a 160-acre ranch in Colorado.

Once a Republican, Costner has supported Democrats since the 1990s, according to Newsweek, which further noted that he endorsed Pete Buttigieg in 2020 — sorry fans — and later backed President Biden’s election campaign. He has called Trump “dangerous,” and apparently feels more secure with a now 79-year-old man who many believe is in early-stage dementia.

As for Cheney’s comment about putting country over party, that is her justification for succumbing to her obsession with Donald Trump to side with Democrats in trying to take the former president down… along with any Republican who backs him. Hand-picked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to sit on her politically-motivated Jan. 6 select committee, Cheney is one of two “Pelosi Republicans” on the panel — the other being outgoing U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill.

James Golden, aka “Bo Snerdley” of Rush Limbaugh fame, helped steer Cheney straight, tweeting: “Real Republicans aren’t RINO’s.”
