Tucker: Biden blue print is to criminalize dissent, ban opposition and use govt to create ‘one party state’

Following President Joe Biden’s desecration of the grounds of Independence Hall last week, many decried the divisive speech he gave for the atrocity to America’s constitutional republic that it was.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson saw something more and on Tuesday he contended that Biden had actually revealed his “blueprint for the rest of his administration.”

Following up on his hot-take of Biden’s so-called “battle for the soul of the nation,” Carlson offered up a more targeted analysis looking at the implications of the president’s speech. In so doing, the host laid out how this “most threatening presidential speech in American history” was indicative of a path toward a single-party authoritarian regime.

“So Joe Biden gave the most threatening presidential speech in American history last week–he spoke in front of a blood-red backdrop flanked by U.S. Marines–and he delivered, if you take a step back, the blueprint for the rest of his administration,” Carlson suggested before listing the steps as, “criminalize dissent, effectively ban the opposition and use the federal agencies to transform America into a one party state.”

“It’s called authoritarianism,” he declared.

Running a number of clips from the “non-political” speech where Biden alleged the threat posed by MAGA Republicans, Carlson reacted, “It’s enough to make your head spin.”

He went on to juxtapose the president’s claims with the reality faced by Biden’s predecessor. “Donald Trump has been banned from speaking in public,” Carlson noted. “He has been censored at the behest of the Democratic Party. He can no longer go on social media, our electronic town square. He’s been totally erased and yet Joe Biden says, ‘Trump and his supporters promote authoritarian leaders,’ and he says this at exactly the moment he is sending billions of dollars to Ukraine and its authoritarian leaders every month.”

The host ran down how Ukraine has sought help on the world stage in the name of its “democracy,” the government has imprisoned political rivals, prohibited independent media and banned opposition parties.

“That’s not authoritarian,” Carlson deadpanned. “What’s authoritarian is disagreeing with Joe Biden. Do that and Joe Biden will stand in front of the military he controls and declare that you are an enemy of the state.”

As Carlson had stated last Thursday, “We made fun of it at the top of the show because we really didn’t know how else to respond. But Joe Biden crossed into a very dangerous, very dangerous place. Tonight he declared in a speech in Philadelphia that anyone who disagrees with him is a threat to the country.”

Yet, as that reality sunk in, corporate media embraced Biden’s speech and Carlson shared some of those moments similar to posts that circulated on social media.

“It’s amazing how soviet the whole thing is,” Carlson argued. “Joe Biden calls for political purges and law enforcement crackdowns on his political opponents and state media cheer him on.”
