In the aftermath of the Chesapeake, Va., Walmart shooting that left six people dead we learn yet again that mental illness is a driving factor in the growing number of mass shootings in America.
The suspected shooter, Andre Bing, followed a now familiar script in that he left behind a manifesto detailing his inner thoughts, which includes blaming the deadly violence on “torment” by coworkers and demonic influences, Fox News reported.
“Sorry God, I’ve failed you, this was not your fault but my own. I failed to listen to the groans of the holy spirit which made me a poor representation of You,” Bing wrote in a note released Friday by Chesapeake officials.
As the investigation has progressed, detectives conducted a forensic analysis of the suspect’s phone, which was located at the scene. This note was located in the device. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/uCAvAZgYWP

“I was harassed by idiots with low intelligence and a lack of wisdom,” Bing wrote, before explaining that he was able to remain strong until his phone was hacked. He also blamed himself for convincing Walmart management that he “was normal.” The deceased gunman pointed to one redacted individual whom he claimed betrayed him.
“They laughed at me and said that I was like Jeffrey Dahmer,” he added. “A few months back I had overheard [REDACTED] talking to [REDACTED] and he told me that he had been trying to get rid of me since day one. After I heard that I lashed out. The associates gave me twisted grins, mocked me and celebrated my down fall the last day. That’s why they suffer the same fate as me.”

“My true intent was never to murder anyone believe it or not, I was actually one of the most loving people in the world if you would get to know me,” Bing said. “I just wanted a wife that was equally yoked as I and obsessed over the thought; however, I didn’t deserve a wife.”
The manifesto talked about a coworker who was “emanating with the holy spirit,” with Bing saying “unlike me she actually listened to the holy spirit.” He said one person “knew they were antagonizing me so one day she approached me in personnel and apologized to me. On her last day she looked me in the eyes terrified by a demonic aura.”
“My only wish would have been to start over from scratch and that my parents would have paid closer attention to my social deficits. Sorry everyone but I did not plan this I promise things just fell in place like I was led by the Satan,” Bing wrote, adding, “My God forgive me for what I’m going to do.”

Bing had no criminal record and police say he legally purchased the 9mm handgun used in the shooting from a local store on the morning of the shooting.
There were several inquiries about anything recovered from the search warrant at the suspect’s house. A box of ammunition was found and various items in reference to the 9mm handgun (box, receipt, other paperwork). (3/3)
