‘America is healing!’ Chuck Todd out at NBC – exit comes one week after Acosta

Another Democrat media mouthpiece bites the dust.

One week after CNN’s Jim Acosta announced his dramatic farewell from the flailing network, NBC’s veteran anchor and political talking head Chuck Todd followed suit.

“Today is my last day… at NBC,” Todd said on his podcast.

“I am leaving a bit earlier than we had all originally planned, but there is a reason for it. I’m pretty excited by a few new projects that are on the cusp,” Todd added. “The podcast is coming with me and it’s not going away.”

Todd explained that he would continue to tackle politics through his podcast, and threw shade at the legacy media of which he has been a big part.

“The reason why I am ready to move, I think the media has a lot of work to do to win back the trust and I think, frankly, national media isn’t the place that’s going to be able to do it,” Todd said.

“This is no indictment of national media as the problem, I’m a believer that national media is never really that trusted by people. The farther away something is, the more skeptical we are,” Todd continued. “People trust local media more than they trust national media.”

“I’m pretty confident that we all sort of understand the challenge ahead of us,” he said. “We can’t stick our heads in the sand, and we can’t be propagandists.”

News of Todd’s resignation quickly spread on X, with The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway calling it a “Good Friday” and explained why:

Re-surfaced clips of Todd also began to circulate and re-enforce that this indeed qualifies as “Good Friday” news.

The following clip shows Todd stating unequivocally that the “only people dying” of Covid-19 are the “unvaccinated” and shaming those who’d argue otherwise:

What a gem! But, there’s plenty more where that came from and X had a field day:

So much winning!
