Bernie Sanders is brushing off Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman’s public criticism of the self-proclaimed socialist as “not a big deal.”
CNN’s Kaitlan Collins referenced recent footage of Fetterman calling Sander to “sit a few out” when it comes to endorsing candidates before the midterms. “You’re not helping,” Fetterman said, alluding to Sanders vehement support of disgraced Graham Platner until polls showed Platner’s support plummeting.
Ironically, Sanders pointed to the polls to defend himself against Fetterman’s jab.
“Well, the last poll that I saw in Pennsylvania, not a whole lot of Democrats think that [Fetterman] is representing them,” Sanders told Collins on Wednesday.

“According to a July Quinnipiac University poll, 52 percent of 895 Pennsylvania voters said they want Fetterman to leave the Democratic Party. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 4.3 percentage points.”
“And as you know, there’s some question whether or not he flips and becomes a Republican,” he continued. “So I would not put too much credibility in what somebody like Fetterman says.”
The feud between Fetterman and Sanders is ongoing. Last week, the Pennsylvania Dem blasted Sanders for his support of Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
