Biden-judge with possible grudge blocks EPA from nixing ‘environmental justice’ grants

A federal judge thwarted the Trump administration’s attempt to cancel Biden-era grants designated for “environmental justice.”

The $600 million set of grants was buried in Democrats’ 2022 bloated “Inflation Reduction Act” and was sold as a means to tackle pollution in poor communities.

Yeah, sure.

Trump’s EPA was set to terminate the grants until Biden-appointed Judge Adam Abelson decided that the agency exceeded its authority in doing so and argued the move to axe the grants was “arbitrary, capricious [and] an abuse of discretion,” The Hill reported.

Abelson accused the Trump administration’s decision of lacking “any reasoned decision-making, or reasoned explanation.”

Really?

The director of research and Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute reminded how the Biden EPA used “environmental justice” to push its social engineering agenda.

Perhaps, Abelson’s decision was personal.

In March, a Court of Appeals reportedly rebuked Abelson’s block on Trump’s executive orders ending government support for DEI programs, according to the X account “Amuse.”

Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton and others slammed Abelson’s latest move.
