Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg responded to Tucker Carlson’s suspicions that he really isn’t gay.
Carlson made waves earlier this month when, during a light-hearted discussion with Michael Knowles, the former Fox News host suggested that Buttigieg only became gay when it was politically convenient.
Carlson, who’s been a fervent critic of Buttigieg, even posed the question to X. “He’s a fake gay guy?” his post stated, while the clip shows Carlson claiming Buttigieg was “with a girl” before wanting to be the Democrat nominee. Carlson also joked that he wanted to ask Buttigieg explicit questions about gay sex to see if he even knows the answers.

Given the Democrat Party’s insatiable lust for identity politics, it’s not that far-fetched a question.
Buttigieg, for his part, addressed the accusations with good humor at the University of Michigan in an interview with Kara Swisher.
“First of all, I do not think I want to discuss anything with Tucker Carlson,” Buttigieg said to applause. “But also, but I cannot think of a topic I would like to discuss less with Tucker Carlson than that – even though I will admit some level of morbid curiosity on what in the hell he thinks – actually no.
“I suppose it’s a sign of progress that their idea of a conspiracy is that I’m actually secretly straight,” he continued.
“We are through the looking glass now.”
Carlson has long voiced his disdain for Buttigieg, not because he’s gay, but because he was unqualified. In 2023, Carlson questioned how Buttigieg got the prestigious role of Transportation Secretary, having “no relevant experience.”
