Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked James Carville to put his money where his mouth is on one of his Trump predictions.
The longtime Dem admittedly suffers from debilitating Trump Derangement Syndrome and has long claimed (wished?) that the president will resign before the end of his second term.
“Everything that he tries blows up in his face,” Carville said in March, speculating that Democrats would sweep the midterms.
“I’m telling you, I think he’s just gonna quit next year by this time. I think he’s just gonna walk away because the Democrats control the House and the Senate. No one’s gonna pay attention to him. The fiscal condition of the country is beyond in the ditch.”
On Wednesday’s episode of The Ingraham Angle, he was asked if he still believes it.
“I do,” he told Ingraham. “Because he’s an old man and he’s not particularly a hard man. And when he sees what’s gonna happen in this election, and I had this hit me in 1994. I know what this is. Most people don’t. And when these things hit, of course, Clinton was able to survive because he was young; he was brilliant. And he had Newt Gingrich as his foil. He couldn’t do any better than that.”
When Ingraham challenged him to put money down on his prediction, he deflected.
“I will put a huge amount on this, that Trump will be out by Easter,” Ingraham said. “For charity.”
“I don’t do the predictable thing,” Carville responded. “I like to think to the future. I think he’s gonna get really bored and when you lose one this big, people don’t really pay attention to you.
Carville also touted the Democrats’ unoriginal plan to “solve” America’s problems … tax the “rich.”
🚨 Carville: “We’re not Trump, and we’re gonna win.”
@JamesCarville_ lays out what Democrats would do with power:
“Raise the minimum wage to $13.25 an hour, then raise taxes on incomes over $500,000 a year, start reopening rural hospitals, get the heck out of Iraq.” https://t.co/aPMxBBDR82

If more taxes were the solution, people would be flocking to blue states like California, New York, and Illinois instead of fleeing from them.
