Chili’s goes viral for snarky response to price complaint: ‘Why do y’all let fast food play you like this?’

The Chili’s restaurant franchise went viral for throwing shade at high prices in the fast-food industry.

X account “YellowFlashGuy” posted a picture of a presumed Burger King menu featuring the “whopping” $18.99 price of a 3-item burger meal.

“Why should I get this when I could go to a restaurant?” the account stated. “The food would be close to this price, and better.”

Chili’s was at the ready with a response highlighting its own price deals.

“This is what we’ve been saying!!!!” Chili’s responded. “Why do y’all let fast food play you like this? Big Crispy Chicken Sandwich 3 for Me with fries, BOTTOMLESS chips and salsa and UNLIMITED drink for $10.99, only at Chili’s.”

The post has over five million views, amassed well over 100,000 likes and counting, and received plenty of praise and feedback.
