Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has called upon Elon Musk and other social media CEOs to take down videos of the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk.
“These are not the only graphic videos of horrifying murders circulating— at some point, social media begins to desensitize humanity. We must still value life. Please take them down,” the conservative representative wrote.
I am calling on @elonmusk, @finkd, and @tiktok_us to remove the horrifying videos of Charlie Kirk’s murder. He has a family, young children, and no one should be forced to relive this tragedy online. These are not the only graphic videos of horrifying murders circulating— at some…

While Luna’s empathy for Kirk’s family is understandable and her point on “desensitizing” is inarguable, many X users respectfully disagreed with her.
No. As Jackie Kennedy said on Air Force One, in her bloody brain splattered dress that she refused to change out of.. “Let them see what they’ve done.”
As horrifying and heartbreaking as those images are, they are the turning point. Demons martyred Charlie right in front of our…

Congressional candidate Lily Tang Williams, who escaped communist China, raised a warning on Luna’s request:
I respectively disagree. Freedom of speech includes the content we don’t like or hate or bloody. We must defend it no matter how bad it is. I have faced evil before growing up in Mao’s China. We need to show evil exists in America, so we know what we are fighting against.

“and no one should be forced to relive this tragedy online”
Where is the part where anyone is forced to view social media?
Censoring content—especially that which exposes the consequences of choices—is a very dangerous slippery slope
This is a terrible idea from a legislator

Disagree, people need to see what Democrat terrorism looks like

Interestingly enough, Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert agreed with Luna, and she, too, received pushback.
She didn’t call for Iryna Zarutska’s pictures and video to be removed.
You all are hypocrites.

Kirk’s murder comes on the heels of the fatal stabbing of Ukrainian Iryna Zarutska on a North Carolina bus. Her brutal and senseless murder was hidden by Democrats and their media lapdogs until the horrifying video came out.
Kirk’s last post on X, which has now been made private, addressed Zarutska’s murder.
As Scott Driscoll pointed out to Luna, Kirk may not have agreed with her take.
Charlie may not want that. Have a listen to Charlie’s last story post when on his way to his final rally. He’s directing people to watch the video of the poor sweetheart Iryna Zarutska being murdered in the train so everyone knows just what EVIL looks like. pic.twitter.com/ffOmye7oC8
