What happens when you win an award for capturing one of the most iconic and harrowing political moments of all time? You get slammed by raging leftists, that’s what.
AP photographer Evan Vucci caught the incredible moment where then-presidential candidate Donald Trump rose to his feet with fist in the air after being shot in the ear, to tell Americans to “Fight, Fight, Fight!”
The moment captured the hearts and minds of patriots across the nation and beyond, and Trump’s courageous actions began to open the eyes of political fence sitters, and Trump skeptics.
Vucci’s photo has been viewed hundreds of millions of times and won the “Politico Photo of the Year” award from the White House News Photographers Association.
The good news didn’t sit well with leftists who showed up in droves to have another collective Trump-hatefest on X over the post:
“Does it count if it was staged?” one X user wrote. While another agreed and simply (and unbelievably) wrote: “STAGED”:
Apparently the “staged” fantasy is a shared delusion among some leftist circles, as another exclaimed, “Fake Fake Fake!” in response to the photo and yet another expanded on the “conspiracy” questioning if Vucci was on it:
Courage and patriotism are apparently foreign to some who simply can’t accept what their eyes and ears see and hear.
“It’s such a great picture, showing clearly that Trump knew he was in no danger whatsoever that day,” was yet another sarcastic response.
Thankfully, there was plenty of support for the photo and Trump’s historic moment:
“The photo captures one of the defining moments of modern history. Congratulations on the well-deserved recognition,” Pete Webb wrote on X.
“SIMPLY ICONIC! The 2024 Presidential election was over the moment DONALD J TRUMP rose and yelled to the crowd “FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!” wrote another.
