Dem insider says secret polling warned about Kamala Harris — but party was ‘terrified’ of her online army

Ex-Democrat fundraiser Lindy Li claims her former party ignored a major red flag about running Kamala Harris against Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

“The polling numbers went directly against the narrative that the party wanted to espouse,” Li told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview. “They knew that skipping over Kamala Harris would be a slap in the face to the bedrock of the party, which is black women in particular, and they just wouldn’t have it.”

Li dropped her Dem Party affiliation following the 2024 election over the alleged cover-up of Joe Biden’s mental decline. Today, she’s telling the story in her new book, “Unburdened,” which reveals more about the decision to run Harris instead of more popular Democrat contenders.

“Kamala Harris came in dead last. It wasn’t even close,” Li told Fox. “Pete Buttigieg, who hilariously received 0% support from the black vote, did better than she did. And yet the party is so straitjacketed by DEI that they had no choice but to appoint her.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer reportedly also polled higher than Harris.

Li, who worked closely with the DNC and top donors, described the internal polling as a well-kept open secret among the ranks.

“I’m part of the National Finance Committee. The list of membership is guarded like the papal conclave. But people talk. It’s a very small group of people. That poll was commissioned internally,” Li continued.

“Most of the time I would say I don’t believe a candidate’s polling because it’s basically just funded propaganda. But in this case, we wanted an objective overview of who could actually mount the most formidable opposition to Trump.”

Li claims the decision to run Harris despite the “objective” evidence she was among the least favored candidates was based on “fear.”

“People were terrified of the online mob. The K-Hive isn’t that numerous, but they’re very, very toxic and they’re very coordinated. No one wants to be labeled as a racist.”
