Dem Rep claims he’s being targeted by Trump’s DOJ for Musk ‘criticism’. Here’s what he really said…

Both overt and veiled threats against President Trump and Elon Musk are ramping up, and Democrat legislators are being called out for being among the perpetrators.

Democrat Rep. Robert Garcia is wearing egg on his face after claiming to be a target of President Trump’s DOJ for “criticizing” Elon Musk.

“Members of Congress have a right to speak freely and oppose the Administration – especially as they try to destroy our agencies and federal institutions. We won’t back down,” Garcia declared on X.

But, there was a big problem with Garica’s claim as noted by Elon Musk and X’s “community notes.”

“Rep. Garcia is being investigated for threat of violence for his use of the phrase “bring actual weapons” to a fight against Trump, Musk and their supporter. If he were simply “criticizing Musk” as he claims, the DOJ would not have sent a letter,” Community notes clarified.

Well, then.

Musk supporters responded and brought receipts. The following clip shows Garcia stating that the “American public want for us to bring weapons to this bar fight.” Oh, Garcia also calls Musk a “dick.”

Trump’s top prosecutor Ed Martin fired off a letter to Garcia asking for clarification of his comments, following a similar letter previously sent to Chuck Schumer that has seemingly gone unanswered.

Democrats are playing a dangerous game with this type of inflammatory rhetoric. Of course, everyone knows that there were two known assassination attempts on Donald Trump, and far left radicals don’t appear to be calming down any time soon.

Libs of TikTok has been covering several of the threats (WARNING FOR LANGUAGE):

It’s not hard to imagine that individuals as seemingly unstable as this could be further incentivized by Democrat rhetoric.

But, it gets more disturbing.

According to several more posts, there’s been a growing movement seeking to organize an “armed” protest in D.C.
