Desperate Dems slam Trump for egg prices, scramble to stop agenda’s breakneck speed with new ‘resistance’

Democrats are scrambling to stop President Trump’s agenda that is moving along at breakneck speed and may be putting all their eggs, quite literally, in one basket.

The Trump administration has been on a tireless mission to return America to common sense policies of equality and economic freedom while rooting out wasteful spending and corruption within government ranks.

The audits and speed at which Trump and his Department of Government Efficiency have moved have left many Democrats either screaming in the wind or stunned silent as they hope the president will slow his pace.

A coalition of Democrats are (hilariously) claiming that they were willing to work with Trump and find common ground, but are now employing a different and more offensive strategy, according to The Hill.

“This guy is doing some crazy s–t,” an unnamed Democrat, told The Hill. “This isn’t jamming through a nominee. This is when it starts to be alarming.”

Another Democrat reported to be part of the new and growing “resistance” accused Trump of overstepping “boundaries.”

“He’s pushing the boundaries of a system as far as they can go.”

Dem strategist Anthony Coley who worked in the Biden administration admitted that his party was stunned by Trump’s first few weeks but urged a course of action against the new administration.

“The first phase of the last the weeks was Democrats being really gun-shy,” Coley said, according to The Hill. “Now folks are really, really tired and can’t sit back and watch him destroy the country that we love without any pushback at all. That’s the phase we’re in now.”

And that phase includes eggs.

Egg prices reached an all-time high last month, with a dozen large Grade A eggs priced at $4.95, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This surpasses the previous peak in January 2023, when a dozen cost $4.82, The Hill reported.

“This was the largest increase in the eggs index since June 2015 and it accounted for about two-thirds of the total monthly food at home increase, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said of the price hike.

And Democrats are ready to pounce on that information.

“Eggs are a basic necessity for families in our districts, and the financial burden caused by these surging prices must be resolved,” 28 House Democrats wrote in a letter to Trump on Thursday.

“Mr. President, you’ve promised the American people that you would lower grocery prices,” the letter from Democrats who are members of the Congressional Dads Caucus stated. “It’s time to deliver. Families across the country cannot afford more delays or inaction,” they wrote in the letter. “This is about the health, nutrition, and financial stability of millions of Americans who are already struggling.”

Skyrocketing egg prices have, in large part, been a result of the bird flu which has wiped out or stunted many operations with at least 100 million egg-laying hens being put down, The Hill reported.

Democrats are demanding that the Trump administration do more to combat the spread of bird flu and also blamed the president for curtailing the Biden admin’s Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response which Democrats maintain “are directly contributing to this affordability crisis,” the Hill reported.

Dr. Peter A. McCullough thinks he has a better idea, and argued to let the bird flu run its course, saying the culling of hens is a ‘hopeless’ endeavor.
