YouTube hasn’t gotten the memo about free speech making a comeback in the upcoming Golden Age.
At least, that seems to be the case according to the famous internist and show host Dr. Drew who on Monday accused YouTube of taking down two videos critical of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, and labeling them “medical misinformation.”
“I’ve been a board-certified physician for over 40 years – 2x YouTube’s existence,” Drew said of the condemned videos. “So let’s take a closer look at the timestamps they say are “harmful,” …
This weekend, @YouTubeCreators accused me of spreading “medical misinformation” & took down 2 videos with an MD & a lawyer. I’ve been a board-certified physician for over 40 years – 2x @YouTube‘s existence. So let’s take a closer look at the timestamps they say are “harmful”… pic.twitter.com/3couAYLJ3l

Drew continued to break down and defend his interviews which were shared on the free-speech platform X:
“Violation 1: medical misinformation at 22:52. Dr. Kelly Victory shares her professional opinion about young people who were injured by mRNA side effects, saying the “vast majority of the people who have been injured are young, healthy people who were under the age of 50 who had fundamentally zero risk from COVID itself. They all got COVID. 98% of the population has documentation they’ve had COVID. These are people who would have been fine if they were just left alone.” Drew’s post stated.
Drew went on to note that the two people in the banned video, Dr. Victory and himself “are licensed board-certified physicians who completed medical school decades ago.”
While Drew said he doesn’t agree with everything Dr. Victory claims he maintains, “it is not medical misinformation for a licensed doctor to provide an opinion on a broadcast.”

Drew reminded that in 2023 Dr. Fauci insisted that masks work despite “data and opposition from public experts,” and noted that the video is still up on YouTube.
Drew’s second guest Attorney Warner Mendenhall who shared details about a case he’s working on earned him YouTube’s Violation 2.
“I believe about half a million people have died from taking the shot. We are currently representing one of my clients who is extremely ill. Her spinal cord has been damaged… she’s having trouble breathing…” Warner claimed in the clip.
Dr. Drew reiterated on X that it is not “medical misinformation” for an attorney to share details of an ongoing case.

And here’s the real kick in the gut. In order to get the violations removed, Dr. Drew “must attend YouTube’s reeducation training and be a good boy for 90 days, or else they will delete my channel and its 1000+ videos,” Drew claimed.
Drew was grateful to be able to take his case and interviews to X where he was still free to share information and says he refuses to delete even “1 second” to “appease Google’s unqualified, unlicensed, untrained, unidentified censors.”
YouTube is free to stay on the wrong side of history. Their house, their rules. But it’s times like these when I’m especially grateful that @ElonMusk brought free speech back to the public square. Both @AskDrDrew episodes are still available on X, and I refuse to delete even 1…

Drew’s justifiably defiant stance earned him support on X:
“unqualified, unlicensed, untrained, unidentified”
Love that!

@drdrew put your content on Rumble too. I watch videos that have been removed by YouTube on Rumble (if they’ve been uploaded to Rumble by the content creator).

Maybe @robbystarbuck needs to pay a visit to @YouTube ?
Perhaps if enough people delete their app and stop using their platform, and the same for any alphabet company, they will get the message.

What a ridiculous thing to call “misinformation.” It’s clearly an open discussion between informed professionals.
