The French high-speed train company unveiled its new woke uniform collection to less-than-stellar reviews.
“This collaboration has resulted in a collection that balances simplicity, reliability, and a metropolitan flair, symbolized through signature accessories like green Dr. Martens and a graffiti neckerchief,” Emmanuelle Plescoff, the designer behind the “gender neutral” uniforms that include skirts for men, said.
Eurostar trains launches ‘gender neutral’ uniforms for staff including skirts for MEN.
The train company has said its new uniform, which includes the options of Dr Marten boots, skirts for men and graffiti-print scarves will ‘empower staff to express their individuality’… pic.twitter.com/Oxxt3sK23y

“Working with Eurostar has been a unique experience, as it is the first time I have seen a company place such strong emphasis on involving its employees in the creative process.”
Eurostar Newsroom received 17 “likes” on X for the collection debut, out of 1,700 views. That’s not great.
From today, 2,600 @Eurostar colleagues will wear a new uniform: #inclusive, #versatile and co-created with our teams. Unveiled at Paris Gare du Nord, the 54-piece collection reflects who we are today — one #Eurostar, united in diversity. ✨ pic.twitter.com/r10rnzeXDE

It reportedly took two years of deliberation to come up with the bland redesign, and many on X blasted the company for questionable priorities.
@Eurostar @EurostarUK Weird. I care about a clean, organized, on time train, courteous agents and conductors. Self expression, acting-out in styled gear are totally
unimportant.. and unprofessional.— MD Richardson (@MDRichardson6) October 1, 2025
The staff are supposed to assist the passengers, not to waste time in self expression. We don’t care

LOL all body types. Every single woman knows they’ve just taken the skirt and redesigned it to fit men and now it will look shit on the women as it’s not tailored for them.

Probably time to dig out those belts, ladies.
I really don’t care. As long as it’s not revealing, unprofessional or a health & safety hazard. But I’m not calling a man a woman or going to be forced to share toilets with men (whatever they’re wearing or however they identify). That being said, skirts aren’t terribly practical

Ok woke Steward/Stewardess/Clown to the side.. I like the 70s retro look. Idk how easy it will be to keep clean but we need to come back with some style. Everything looks so soulless and industrial these days.
