‘F*ck You!’ GOP lawmaker ambushed after ignoring NRCC ‘no town halls’ directive

A Republican town hall in a Democrat stronghold went off the rails when supposed constituents showed up in mass to scream about President Trump and Elon Musk.

It all started when attendees asked Republican Rep Chuck Edwards, who represents Asheville, N.C., loaded questions that appeared to have been taken straight off the mainstream media script.

“Do you support the annexation of Canada and/or Greenland?” one audience member started. “And this is a yes or no question, I don’t want you to wander off into the woods, I don’t want to hear about your latest week in your office … so I’m trying to get your opinion on this as a yes or no.”

But he wasn’t done, not by a long shot.

“Do you support Trump on annexing Canada or Greenland, and do you like the way he treats the premier or the president of Canada, calling him ‘governor’? Is that the way you’d do as a diplomat? Is that, is that the way the United States should act to our closest neighbors?” he ranted as the audience cheered.

“Do you enjoy the way he’s tried to extort minerals from the Ukraine?” he continued. “Do you like bullying people that need your help? Do you go for kicking the guy when he’s down? Do you support Trump in these things? This is a yes or no.”

Somehow Edwards was able to keep his composure and answered the first question about whether he agreed with annexing Greenland and Canada with a simple, “No, I do not agree.”

His response momentarily quieted the raging leftists, but then he got to Ukraine, saying he agreed with Trump’s stance on a mineral deal to recoup billions.

And that’s when all hell broke loose.

“And you wonder why folks don’t want to do town halls anymore?” Edwards joked as the audience went insane.

“You have nothing to say but lies,” a man shouted, eliciting cheers from his cohorts. “You’re lying. I’m a veteran, you don’t give a f**k about me.”

“F**k you!” he yelled and raged about losing his “rights” as he was booted from the room.

The scene wasn’t much calmer outside the town hall where an overflow crowd was reportedly chanting “Deport Musk!”

Many suspect the town hall was invaded by leftist activists, there to intimidate and create chaos. Early this month, Republican Rep. Richard Hudson, also from North Carolina, who acts as NRCC chair, urged House Republicans to halt town halls after a wave of unhinged behavior emerged across the country at several Republican gatherings, Politico reported.

President Trump pushed back on the notion that the wild scenes were part of authentic “backlash” and called the agitators “paid troublemakers.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson agreed, saying “There are people who do this as a profession, they’re professional protesters.”

It’s not clear if Edwards didn’t get the NRCC memo, or if he ignored it, but it seems he might have been wise to have listened.

Plenty of people on X agreed that this seemed coordinated as the scenes from Asheville went viral:

Unbelievable to watch, especially after parts of the city were destroyed and the area didn’t receive any real help from the federal government until TRUMP stepped into the Oval Office. Oh, and don’t forget Elon Musk’s generous donations of Starlink to keep people who lost everything connected to the outside world.

Maddening.
