FEMA employees axed after sneaky $59M payment for illegals, Trump demands agency be ‘terminated’

Four FEMA workers have been fired for allegedly doling out 59 million in taxpayer dollars to illegal aliens as American taxpayers in North Carolina are still homeless amid freezing temperatures.

The Department of Homeland Security announced the firings of FEMA employees for “circumventing leadership and unilaterally making the egregious payment for hotels for migrants in New York City,” Fox News reported.

“Firings include FEMA’s Chief Financial Officer, two program analysts and a grant specialist,” the DHS also said. “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, DHS will not sit idly and allow deep state activists to undermine the will and safety of the American people.”

“Good riddance!!!” said Matt Van Swol, a nuclear scientist who’s been reporting on the North Carolina disaster said of the FEMA employees.

New York Congressman Mike Lawler joined Fox & Friends to blast FEMA for the payments.

“These funds have been misappropriated going back to the Biden administration and New York City – a sanctuary city – has been wasting billions of dollars of taxpayer money to provide free housing, clothing, food, education and healthcare to illegal immigrants, including criminal aliens that are here illegally,” Lawler said, calling the firing “long overdue.”

“And so I applaud DHS for taking action to stop these payments under President Trump’s leadership because we have incentivized cities like New York and states like New York – a sanctuary state – to allow this to continue and it has to stop,” Lawler said.

Van Swol’s anger over the issue is palpable and rightly so.

It’s important to note, that under Joe Biden’s term, FEMA claimed it lacked the funding to help Hurricane Helene victims who reside in Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.

A New York City Hall spokesperson confirmed to Fox News that the received funds were allocated by the Biden admin for housing, food and security but denied the funds were part of a relief grant.

The scandal was largely ignored by most major networks, aside from Fox News, but X CEO Elon Musk was quick to shine a spotlight on it on Monday after DOGE discovered the egregious payment.

That “money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals!” Musk railed on Monday “A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds.”

President Trump called FEMA a “disaster” on Tuesday and demanded its termination.

“FEMA spent tens of millions of dollars in Democrat areas, disobeying orders, but left the people of North Carolina high and dry. It is now under review and investigation,” Trump declared on Truth Social.

“THE BIDEN RUN FEMA HAS BEEN A DISASTER. FEMA SHOULD BE TERMINATED! IT HAS BEEN SLOW AND TOTALLY INEFFECTIVE. INDIVIDUAL STATES SHOULD HANDLE STORMS, ETC., AS THEY COME. BIG SAVINGS, FAR MORE EFFICIENT!!!” the president added.
