Florida Rep responds to Dem’s demand for apology over Ilhan Omar slam: ‘Boo hoo’

Top Democrats are demanding an apology from Florida Congressman Rep. Randy Fine for suggesting Ilhan Omar is a terrorist.

The Florida Representative was responding to the Minnesota Democrat calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “war criminal.”

“I’m sure it is difficult to see us welcome the killer of so many of your fellow Muslim terrorists,” he wrote. “The only shame is that you serve in Congress.”

As of now, Fine’s post is still up on X:

Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Minority Whip Katherine Clark and Caucus Chair Pete Aguliar fired off an angry response.

“We are just weeks removed from heinous acts of political violence targeting elected officials in Minnesota for assassination,” they said. “This is an incredibly difficult time for our nation and Members of Congress should be solving problems for the American people, not inciting violence. Randy Fine must apologize immediately.”

The Democrats were referring to an attack on Minnesota politicians in June that resulted in the tragic murders of Democrat Minn. Rep. Mellissa Hortman and her husband, and the attempted murder of Dem. Sen. John Hoffman and his wife.

The joint statment did little to sway Fine, who responded on X: “The Hamas Caucus is upset. Boo hoo.”

Fine found plenty of backlash, but also support for his fiery take on X:

According to Politico, Omar spokesperson Jackie Rogers called Fine “a dangerous, hateful man, whose only purpose in Congress thus far has been advocating for nuking Gaza, celebrating the death of children, and calling anyone who disagrees with his genocidal mindset a terrorist.”
