The election of “communist” Zohran Mamdani to run New York City is already turning up some unpleasant realities straight out of the gates.
In September, an immigration judge ordered alleged Hamas sympathizer and college campus agitator Mahmoud Khalil to be deported for “willfully misrepresenting” details on his green card.
Judging from photos reportedly taken at NYC Mayor-elect Mamdani’s celebrations, the deportation hasn’t happened … yet.
Here is a look at who was at Mamdani’s election night party. @ZohranKMamdani
That’s Mahmoud Khalil. The Columbia grad student who led anti-Israel protests for months. He was supposed to be deported by the Trump administration.
Also, Hasan Piker. The streamer who said America… pic.twitter.com/3U6pmJ6dI4

But, as Fox News National Correspondent Alexis McAdams noted, Hasan Piker was also at the election night party.
Ben Shapiro reported that Piker believes that America “deserved” 9/11 and told a reporter at the party that it was “unfortunate” that America defeated the Soviet Union.

Mamdani’s anti-American guests generated a lot of concern and anger on X:
Let that sink in NYC.
Mahmoud Khalil and Hasan Piker are now the little birdies in the ear of your new mayor. Sprinkle in a bunch of Linda Sarsour and a true wack job in Jumaane Williams as well.
This destruction of the once greatest city will be swift and harsh. Have fun!

It most certainly will not be fun.

He’s looking to make NY a Muslim city, just like London did! Look at England Now. New Yorkers are complete idiots.

Just as concerning was a notable shift in tone from Mamdani immediately after he won the election. CNN’s Van Jones noted the “character switch”:
