A Hollywood actor was found dead, allegedly at the hands of his girlfriend’s son.
Los Angeles police found James Handy, 81, best known for roles in movies “Top Gun”, “Jumanji” and “Maverick”, unconscious in his front yard with a stab wound to the chest, Wednesday morning.
The alleged killer, Michael Gledhill, 44, reportedly flagged officers down when they arrived and confessed to the crime.
Just after the alleged murder, Gledhill left a bizarre message to 911 stating: “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”
Gledhill lived with his mother, Handy’s girlfriend, at the actor’s LA residence and was booked on a murder charge with bail set at $2 million.
Handy, who had an extensive career in film and TV, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
It didn’t take long for the strange and tragic case to make national headlines, where it received plenty of reaction:

Wow 🤯 RIP “I just killed the man of sin” interesting statement. Mental illness or a more sinister story will come out of this.

Everyone simply casting off the murderer as crazy or insane might of forgotten what world James Handy was in. A Hollywood celebrity, there could be something underneath we never saw but the killer did. How quickly are we finding out people in Hollywood are doing evil things? Not…

Tragic. James Handy brought real presence to Top Gun: Maverick; losing him like this is a gut punch.
Hope the footage helps bring quick justice.

Wow, RIP James Handy. From bartender in Top Gun: Maverick to this? Tragic. The son just walking up casually then turning himself in is chilling. Family can be the most dangerous sometimes.
