“The View” co-host Joy Behar let her cluelessness shine in defense of “democratic socialism.”

Behar declared she’s “not scared” of the term democratic socialism because America is already steeped in it, according to her.

Taxpayer-funded services like fire departments, garbage pickup, and ambulances fit within Behar’s idea of democratic socialism that she apparently wants to expand.

“Social Security is democratic socialism,” Behar said. “Partly unemployment insurance is. The people who pick up your garbage, the people who take the fire out of your house. All of these are democratic socialism.”

Behar’s comments come after three socialist candidates won their primaries in NY, nudging out two incumbents.

“If I fall down, I want an ambulance,” she said. “If my house is on fire, bring your hose. You know what I mean?”

She also claimed that the country is changing in Democrats’ favor, including Republicans who are “turning on Trump.”

“And there is a major reaction formation going on if you see — we’ll see soon, we’re talking about it later, about Republican senators are turning, congressmen are turning on Trump, and people have had it with this right-wing nasty politics that we’ve had to subject ourselves to since this guy got into office!”

Behar’s rant was shared by Media Research Center’s Nicolas Fondacaro and was blasted on X:

Public services are not socialism. Control of private production is socialism. For dumb liberals, all governments provide public services, are all governments socialist? Public services = socialism is stupid and must be being taught in schools. Many say the same.
