Embattled Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar may have caught a big break in the investigation of her U.S. citizenship.

A “leftist” federal judge is presiding over a legal battle to unseal the warrant that was used to search Omar’s home.

In March 2025, the Obama-appointed Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia temporarily blocked the deportation of dangerous Venezuelan gang members. President Trump called him a ‘Radical Left Lunatic’ at the time, justifiably complaining that it was “virtually impossible for me to get an Honest Ruling in D.C.”

The Justice Department is fighting to keep details of the Omar warrant sealed to protect the “integrity” of the investigation. The New York Times, Judicial Watch, and 14 press organizations made three separate requests to unseal the warrant, according to Fox News.

“Boasberg ordered the Justice Department to defend its position on keeping the warrant sealed in response to a consolidated request from the Times and 14 press organizations by Oct. 22, but he extended the deadline following a Justice Department request to wait until the search warrant was ‘fully executed,'” Fox News reported.

The same Obama-appointed judge Trump called a “Radical Left Lunatic” and wanted impeached, after he blocked deportation flights of alleged Venezuelan gang members is now overseeing the fight to unseal the search warrant on Omar’s home.

Chief Judge James Boasberg is the one deciding whether the public gets to see the details of the immigration fraud probe.

Of course he is.

Immigration attorney Deron Smallcomb, however, argued that the “record” will decide the outcome in the case, despite Boasberg.

A warrant fight isn’t a verdict.

If citizenship rests on false facts in the naturalization paperwork, the remedy is denaturalization under 8 U.S.C. 1451, and the government has to prove it by clear, unequivocal and convincing evidence. No charges have been filed yet. The record…
