FBI Director Kash Patel fired at least 10 FBI agents over “outrageous” allegations of spying on top Trump administration officials.
Under the Biden regime, FBI agents had “secretly subpoenaed” the phone records of Patel and now White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles while they were private citizens.
The “deeply alarming” discovery was made during an investigation of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s probe of President Trump’s alleged retention of classified documents following his first term in office.
“It is outrageous and deeply alarming that the previous FBI leadership secretly subpoenaed my own phone records – along with those of now White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles – using flimsy pretexts and burying the entire process in prohibited case files designed to evade all oversight,” Patel said in a statement to Fox News.
NEW: The FBI subpoenaed Kash Patel’s and Susie Wiles’ phone records in 2022 and 2023, when both were private citizens and as part of a federal probe into President Trump, Fox News has confirmed.

The story caused a stir on X, where Trump supporters demanded more accountability for those who spied on their political foes:
So they get fired and that’s it? Break the law get paid huge bucks on the side and then the penalty is being fired only.

I’d love to know which DC judge(s) issued the warrants to obtain those records. And former FBI Director Chris Wray was either incompetent, ignorant or complicit, along with former Deputy Director Paul Abatte. Someone should find out which it was.

Not good enough. They should be immediately arrested.

It shouldn’t be too hard to review the questions asked at his Senate approval hearing, and see which Senators asked things that could only be obtained through a phone tap.

He needs to charge those that made the order, not those that followed the orders.
