LA officers ‘pulled off working cases’ to protect Kamala Harris: report

Controversy is brewing over Kamala Harris’s new security detail.

An unmarked LAPD vehicle was spotted outside the Brentwood, LA, home of the failed presidential candidate after President Donald Trump revoked her extended Secret Service protection.

At least 11 elite “Metro Division” officers were reportedly “pulled from working cases” and assigned to protect Harris 24/7, reported the New York Post.

Democrats accused Trump of “retaliation” after he revoked Harris’ extended detail, despite six months being the standard time allotment for former vice presidents.

“This is another act of revenge following a long list of political retaliation in the form of firings, the revoking of security clearances, and more,” LA Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement.

“This puts the former Vice President in danger, and I look forward to working with the Governor to make sure Vice President Harris is safe in Los Angeles.”

Governor Gavin Newsom is reportedly in talks with the California Highway Patrol to provide Harris with additional protection, reported Fox 11.

X users had plenty to say about the latest report, and questioned why taxpayers should be on the hook:
