Numbers released by the IRS reveal the devastating amount of revenue lost from blue-state New York to Southern red states.
The ‘tax-the-rich’ Democrat leaders of New York have not only pushed out the state’s billionaires, but the report shows that plenty of middle-income professionals and families have fled the state in search of relief.
According to the report shared on X, $47 billion and 892 companies “walked out” of New York, with Florida, Texas, and North Carolina reaping most of the benefits.
Florida reportedly gained 341 of those companies, Texas took 187, and North Carolina added 129.

It’s only a boon for red states, of course, as long as the folks moving there don’t vote for the policies that they’re fleeing from.

It’s getting easier and easier for companies to move these days. Cloud technology has been a big enabler. The low-cost provider states like Florida and Texas have huge edge.

1. If they voted Democrat – they should be forced to stay and suffer for what they did to their state.
2. Don’t move here and ruin our state if you are going to continue voting Democrat.— Sean C (@Garron217) May 12, 2026
