Fallout from a video launched by Democrats that urged ICE and law enforcement to defy orders from the Trump administration continued on X when Stephen Miller jumped into the fray.
To recap, several Democrats thought it’d be a good idea to publicly coach military personnel to defy “illegal orders” from their Commander in Chief:
BREAKING: Elected Democrats just released a video encouraging members of the military to commit treason and DEFY orders from Trump and Hegseth pic.twitter.com/Sm4calnccR

Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller caught wind of the video when Democrat Sen. Elissa Slotkin promoted it, urging followers not to “give up the ship.”
In response, Miller slammed Democrats for “openly calling for insurrection.”
That prompted Arizona Dem Sen. Mark Kelly, who made an appearance in the video, to clap back at Miller:
I got shot at serving our country in combat, and I was there when your boss sent a violent mob to attack the Capitol. I know the difference between defending our Constitution and an insurrection, even if you don’t. https://t.co/d2QKHVpKTB

While Kelly’s retort gained plenty of support from fellow Democrats, he was simultaneously slammed and schooled on X. The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway helped lead the way:
Sounds like the bluster of someone just caught openly calling for a military insurrection!

Fascinating…
18 U.S.C. § 2387 – “Activities affecting armed forces generally” Criminalizes knowingly advising, counseling, or urging any member of the U.S. military to disobey, desert, or refuse lawful orders, with intent to interfere with military operations or loyalty.…

You disgrace your service with your dishonor and lies.

Oh, Senator Mark Kelly, you insufferable, sanctimonious son of a bureaucratic bitch, your recent post reeks of a vile, hypocritical stench that would make a cesspool blush with shame.
With surgical precision, let me dismantle your pompous grandstanding…
Your claim of being…

In the Navy? I was also in the Navy. Thank you for your service. What battles were you involved in where you got shot at?
— Fatesblind (@Fatesblind) November 19, 2025
Nobody was sent to attack the Capitol, Senator.
Your prostitution of the Constitution for political posturing and acts of sedition are a disgrace.
Every last one of you should be prosecuted and removed from office.
And if they can strip your rank and pension they should.

Since your first two phrases are lies, we have good reason to doubt your claim of knowing what you are talking about.
What you are guilty of is called “sedition”. Words have meanings, senator. Your hatred of President Trump has caused you to violate your oath.

Oh, cool. We’re back to making up stuff that didn’t happen. I love this game.
