Steve Bannon challenges GOP to start making an effort before it’s too late

Steve Bannon wants Republicans to start acting like they’re on offense.

Bannon said his show has promoted President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill better than “anybody” and wondered why supposed Trump allies aren’t doing the same.

“I haven’t seen a massive effort to sell the big beautiful bill and actually what it stands for,” Bannon said during his Wednesday “War Room” podcast.

“For instance, we sell the big beautiful bill here in the supply side tax cut of it in a more sophisticated way, not just the Fox News talking points, in a more sophisticated way, with bright people than anybody,” Bannon said on Wednesday.

He argued that lawmakers need to get their constituents behind the bill before the midterms and said Republicans need to get back to town halls, despite the constant disruptions.

“Johnson and Thune should cancel all overseas junkets for members and force them to have town halls, meet and greets, editorial board meetings — anything to get the word out on the BBB. The supply-side tax cut needs to be sold, and it ain’t gonna sell itself,” Bannon told Politico.

“The 2026 midterms have started, and the Republicans are letting down the president.”

In June, Bannon admitted that he wasn’t a big fan of the big beautiful bill but argued it was a critical step on the road to economic recovery.

Meanwhile, there is a handful of GOP lawmakers who are praising the benefits of the BBB.

Sen. John Kennedy said Americans will be able to choose what kind of car they want to drive under Trump’s bill.

Gubernatorial candidate and Florida Rep. Byron Donalds said it means big tax cuts for his constituents:

As for town halls? That might be a challenge as it seems unhinged Dem shenanigans are continuing:
