Steven Crowder expresses deep regret for not warning about threats: ‘The left wants you dead’

Conservative pundit Steven Crowder gave an emotional interview with Piers Morgan where he said he “feels partially responsible” for the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Why does he feel that way?

Crowder says he knew the risks and the threats and didn’t do enough to warn Kirk and others of what they were facing.

“I failed people. I had to do a lot of soul searching,” Crowder said.

In a similar fashion to what would become Charlie Kirk’s format, Crowder began debating young leftists on campuses in 2016, presenting the challenge, “change my mind.”

Crowder said he encouraged others to do the same and gave Kirk credit for “taking it to another level.”

“What I didn’t do,” Crowder continued. “I didn’t tell people about the threats…”

“Maybe if I would’ve picked up the phone… to tell people it’s real life out there. And the left wants you dead.”

X users weighed in on what Crowder had to say, including Natalie Jean Beisner, who posted the clip. Beisner says she’s an ex-Democrat who has been part of a “change my mind” event and has felt very unsafe.

Many thought that conservatives need to be more vocal, especially when it comes to threats.

Some accused Crowder of trying to make the story about himself.

But not everyone agreed.

Everyone did agree, however, that Charlie Kirk was a hero.

God Bless Charlie Kirk.
