Some people should not be allowed to have pets.
Case in point, a woman who brought a two-year-old Golden Doodle to the airport, but cruelly abandoned the pooch after she was told she couldn’t bring the dog on her flight.
The Las Vegas Police Department reported the story on X after the woman, reportedly named Germiran Bryson, 26, was subsequently arrested for her actions.
🐾 Abandoned at the Airport… but Not Forgotten
We can’t believe we have to say this… but please don’t abandon your dog at the airport — or anywhere else.
On February 2, 2026, at approximately 11:39 p.m., LVMPD officers assigned to Harry Reid International Airport responded to… pic.twitter.com/vZd6TMSaEF

“Airline staff advised the dog’s owner she was required to complete online documentation in order to travel with the animal as a service dog. When the required paperwork was not completed, the passenger was denied a boarding pass. She then left the dog behind and proceeded through the airport to the departure gate,” the post continued.
“Officers later located the individual at Gate D1. When asked why she abandoned the dog, she stated the airline would not allow her to fly with it and claimed the dog had a tracking device — implying it was acceptable to leave the animal behind and it would return to her.”
That’s when she was arrested, but apparently not without a fight.
“While escorting her back through the security checkpoint, she became hostile and resisted officers’ attempts to detain her,” LVPD’s post continued.
“She was arrested and booked for:
▪️ Animal Abandonment
▪️ Resisting Arrest
Airport employees and LVMPD Officers immediately stepped in to care for the approximately 2-year-old golden doodle/mini poodle while the owner was processed.”
After a mandatory 10-day hold by Animal Protective Services, the doodle was taken by a Retriever rescue and is expected to be adopted into a loving home.
LVPD did state that the dog’s neglectful owner never returned for the dog while it remained with Animal Protective Services, indicating it may have been released back to her.
THANKFULLY she never showed.
Plenty of X users agreed:
How could you leave a sweet guy like this tied up at the counter and decide to go board your plane?!

Thank God the dog wasn’t given back to her. She should be barred from having another. Good job, LVMPD.

She left her “service dog” tied up!
I’d say that he/she wasn’t actually a “service dog”!
Hopefully they have special laws for abandoning a “service dog” so she’ll have to suffer stiffer consequences or admit that she’s just a POS liar so JetBlue can ban her for life 🤷🏻♀️🐕🦺🐾…

It’s incomprehensible.
