Democrats will gnash their teeth over anything the Trump administration does, as can be seen in the latest selective outrage over treating U.S. troops to good food.
Dems and their media lapdogs collectively clutched their pearls over a report that Sec. of War Pete Hegseth spent millions on lobster tail, King crab, steak, and other delicacies. Leftists did their best to try to spin the story, as if Hegseth spent all this money on himself and his inner circle, but the meals, in fact, were a much-needed morale boost for troops during Operation Epic Fury.
That isn’t stopping Dems and media shills from sticking to their narrative, but thankfully, we have Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett to “nuke” them with the truth.
“Every dadgum night they’re going out with some fat cat lobbyist and he or she’s feeding them, guess what, steak and lobster!” Burchett said in a video posted to X.
“And somebody’s paying for that, and it’s going to end up being you and me eventually!” he said. “It’s very disingenuous for these Democrat congressmen and senators to point out how much money we’re spending on these steak and lobster meals.”
“And then where were they during the Biden administration? We were spending millions of dollars on drag shows for children overseas and transgender comic books and things like that. Millions and millions of dollars,” he continued.
“It seems that they are directing the media where to look, and they’re not paying attention to the big picture on purpose.”

Surf and turf has been given to soldiers before and after deployment. This tradition has been held for decades. Also known as the last supper, last meal, last treat etc…but when President Trump and Pete Hegseth are following this tradition it’s an outrage. Another case of TDS.
