Trump puts BRICS nations on notice over US dollar: ‘Go find another sucker nation’

President Donald J. Trump is putting BRICS nations on notice over its desired separation from the U.S. dollar.

Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS) allied to grow their economies and compete with the U.S. and Europe.

Trump blasted BRICS countries, which have been increasing trade among themselves, over exploring an alternative to the U.S. dollar.

“The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar, while we stand by and watch, is OVER,” Trump stated on Truth Social Thursday.

The BRICS coalition has been spreading to other countries as it seeks to grow and move away from the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency, potentially reducing its demand.

“We are going to require a commitment from these seemingly hostile Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy,” Trump continued.

“They can go find another sucker Nation. There is no chance that BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade, or anywhere else, and any Country that tries should say hello to Tariffs, and goodbye to America!

Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, denied an attempt by BRICS to form a new currency and suggested that Trump is not getting accurate information from his staff, Mediaite reported.

The BRICS Summit in Kazan late last year composed of 33 countries, however, was reportedly taking place to grow the alliance and advance the “de-dollarization” by forming a new currency as part of its agenda.

Trump received plenty of praise for this tough stance to protect the U.S. dollar:
