President Trump is keeping an open mind when it comes to a possible pardon for former fixer Michael Cohen.
“I’ve never been asked that question,” Trump told reporters outside Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday when asked if he’d consider a pardon for Cohen.
“What they put him through is incredible if you want to know the truth. Nobody has asked me about a pardon,” he said.
When pressed again on a possible pardon, the president said he’d consider it.
“Well, if everything is checking out, it’s something I would consider, yeah. I mean, what they did to Michael Cohen was a disgrace.
“They forced him to say things that he didn’t want to say, and that he didn’t believe, and I appreciate that at least he came out, although late, he came out and rectified the situation,” Trump added.
Reporter: “Will you pardon Michael Cohen?”

Last week, Trump praised Cohen after he recanted his testimony against the president, claiming he was pressured by New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to lie.
Michael Cohen FULLY RECANTED his testimony! He admitted Tish James and Alvin Bragg pressured him to lie.
This entire witch hunt against President Trump was a total lie and weaponized corrupt garbage.

Cohen has reportedly submitted a pardon application but has not directly asked the president for one.

I voted for Trump 3 times and would vote for him a 4th if he was allowed.
To imply that NOW Michael Cohen is to be believed is utter nonsense.— Phil (@pscottrnc) September 4, 2026
