A troubling clip of a judge stating that a defendant has “a better shot” at a lighter sentence if the judge in their case is the same skin color is raising eyebrows.
Granted, it’s a short clip with no extra context, but interestingly enough, the judge making the questionable statement has a son in jail for the murder of his wife.
The judge in his case was white and reportedly threw the book at him with a life sentence.
Judge Williams made the statement after reportedly reducing the sentence of a repeat offender who had been charged with attacking random white people in Cleveland.

X users were appalled by the judge’s bluntness about putting skin color over impartial law, and some questioned why she’s even a judge in the first place.
The whole point of a judge is impartiality and upholding the law, not reflecting the defendant. If a judge is downgrading charges on a repeat offender who’s attacking people, especially if it’s a pattern, that’s a massive failure of justice and puts the community at risk.

These activist judges who do not prosecute criminals should be in jail. They’re a danger to the public. They care more about the criminal’s rights than the victim.

She’s a racist black activist judge. She needs to lose her job.

if a judge doesn’t know the LAW and can’t stick to the LAW and bases decisions on RACE they are unfit. her video proves she is unfit. having a better “shot” because of her RACE and the defendants RACE is biased.

Who cares what judges look like. It only matters if they’re doing their job.
A lot of them obviously are NOT.

Reducing charges and sentences is within her legal authority.
But the law should allow that if that criminal hurts anyone else following a reduced sentence SHE should be charged as an accessory to any crime he commits.
