The horrific murder of Charlie Kirk is exposing the hatred that’s deeply embedded in many leftists, and unsurprisingly, in many who work in “education.”
Take, for instance, Assistant Dean of Students at Middle Tennessee University, Laura Sosh-Lightsy, who couldn’t contain her vitriol over the public assassination of Kirk.
“Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence. Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy,” she wrote on social media without a hint of self-awareness.
Perhaps realizing she went too far, Lightsy posted soon after in an attempt to clarify that she wasn’t “celebrating” the killing of Kirk. Only, the loss of his “message of violence.”
WHAT?

Native Tennessean and Director at the Leadership Institute, Mathew Hurtt, continued to follow Sosh-Lightsy and advised her to “put the wine down.”

“Lol” is right.
Moments ago. Put the wine down, Laura, and back away from social media. pic.twitter.com/aUadMh2Hwu

But it was too late for Sosh-Lightsy. The damage was done, and she soon learned her fate as a “former” Assistant Dean of Students after being “fired effective immediately.”
“An MTSU employee today offered inappropriate and callous comments on social media concerning the horrific and tragic murder of Charlie Kirk,” a statement from MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee wrote. “The comments by this employee, who worked in a position of trust directly with students, were inconsistent with our values and have undermined the university’s credibility and reputation with our students, faculty, staff, and the community at large. This employee has been fired effective immediately. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Kirk family.”

X users had “ZERO sympathy” for her firing:
This woman is a Dean of Students?!?

Charlie Kirk’s “message of violence”? Not so. This person obviously never even listened to Charlie Kirk. Most of those cheering haven’t or they’d realize how cruel they are

Obviously!
By this rate there won’t be a teacher left with a job by tomorrow. It shows you the problem we have with indoctrination camps.

A lot of people are going to be fired. Celebrate the death of attacks on Charlie Kirk or anyone else, and get fired. FAFO. Let’s get receipts and get hundreds of more lunatics fired.

This should be the position of every facility or corporation. If murder is your way of silencing people that don’t think like you do, we need to know who they are so we can be sure not to purchase their goods or services.

Thank you for ridding your University of this despicable employee. God only knows what kind of damage she has done through the years being around students.

And God only knows how many more there are at MTSU and elsewhere.
