The White House didn’t take kindly to a Trump-hating rock star’s derogatory statements about the Oval Office’s new decor.
White Stripe’s former frontman, Jack White, dismissed the historic meeting between President Trump, who was seeking a peace deal with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and got right to the petty stuff.
“Look at how disgusting Trump has transformed the historic White House. It’s now a vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler’s dressing room,” White said in an Instagram post.
“Can’t wait for the UFC match on the front lawn too, he’s almost fully achieved the movie ‘Idiocracy,’” he added, citing Trump’s desire to host a UFC fight at the White House for America’s 250th birthday celebrations next year.
But, White wasn’t finished ripping Trump’s signature style.
“Look at his disgusting taste, would you even buy a used car from this conman, let alone give him the nuclear codes? A gold plated trump bible would look perfect up on that mantle with a pair of trump shoes on either side wouldn’t it? What an embarrassment to American history.”
The outburst didn’t go unnoticed by WH spokesman Steven Cheung, who fired back.
“Jack White is a washed-up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career,” Cheung told The Daily Beast.
“It’s apparent he’s been masquerading as a real artist, because he fails to appreciate, and quite frankly disrespects, the splendor and significance of the Oval Office inside of ‘The People’s House.’”
White shot back, ironically calling the White House slam “petty and thin-skinned,” according to Variety.
Jack White, who’s long been suffering with TDS and often presents himself like a worse-looking version of Edward Scissorhands, doesn’t have room to talk, according to plenty of folks on X.
