White House rolls out the ‘Trump Gold Card’ to fast-track foreign visas

President Donald J. Trump unveiled the highly anticipated, and expensive, “Gold Card” designed to fast-track foreign U.S. visas.

“THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT’S TRUMP GOLD CARD IS HERE TODAY! A direct path to Citizenship for all qualified and vetted people. SO EXCITING! Our Great American Companies can finally keep their invaluable Talent. Live Site opens in 30 minutes!” Trump declared on Truth Social.

“It’s somewhat like a green card, but with big advantages,” the president added during a press conference.

Applicants need to pay a fee of $1 million to the Department of Commerce, or corporations filing on behalf of an employee can donate $2 million.

Applicants who pass the vetting process by DHS can apply for citizenship in five years.

Trump cabinet members, including Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, also touted the “exciting” news on X:

“This landmark program fulfills President Trump’s promise to attract the world’s most successful entrepreneurs and investors to America while guaranteeing they have skin in the game,” Noem declared.

The visa re-vamp is intended to raise “hundreds of billions of dollars” in revenue for the U.S. and will help create jobs, according to Trump.

The Gold Card was first introduced in March at $5 million a pop and became an instant hot commodity despite the super-steep price tag.

“There’s a line for EB-5 of 250,000 right now. 200,000 of these gold green cards [at $5 million] is $1 trillion to pay down our debt,” Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said in February.

Those Gold-Green cards have reportedly been bumped up to platinum status.
