Widow of Corey Comperatore says she believes assassination attempt was ‘an inside job’

The widow of Corey Comperatore, who was killed during the attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, says she and her family are still struggling and have no answers.

Wife of the former fire chief who was killed on that fateful day, Helen Comperatore, sat down with News Nation two years after her husband’s death, and didn’t hold back.

Comperatore blasted the Secret Service, saying they got “everything wrong” in the events leading up to the deadly shooting that nearly took then-candidate Donald Trump’s life. She also believes that the shooter, Thomas Crooks, didn’t act alone.

“I don’t believe there was another shooter there,” she said. “But I believe he was working with somebody…” she continued. “I believe it was an inside job, inside the government,” she alleged.

She went on to say that she’s been “told things” to make her believe the attempted hit on Trump’s life was purely political.

“He didn’t just get up that day and go do it,” she said of Crooks.

“I’ve been told things… but I’ve had something that happened with me that afterwards, and you’re starting to put the pieces together, it just made total sense.”
