$220K G-Wagon joyride ends in horror: 4 teens accused after beloved couple killed

What started as a joyride in a stolen G Wagon ended in the deaths of a grandmother and her partner.

Nayshaun Brown, 18, and three others were arrested after allegedly stealing a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G Wagon in New Jersey on Saturday morning. The group, including the three minors who have not been publicly identified due to their ages, ignored a police officer’s attempt to pull them over in the early hours of the morning. Hamilton Township police then attempted to stop the speeding vehicle before losing sight of it several hours later.

Reports indicate that the stolen luxury SUV was traveling in the oncoming lane when it struck another vehicle carrying Robert Barr, Jr., 54, and Alice Stilwell, 67 of Egg Harbor Township. The head-on collision resulted deaths of Barr and Stilwell, while the four teens managed to escape the wreckage largely unscathed. They were quickly apprehended and have been charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, joyriding and eluding police.

A GoFundMe established for Stilwell’s funeral expenses describes her as a “beloved mother and grandmother,” and as of this publishing has raised $10,730 of its $22k goal.

“This unimaginable tragedy has left their family in deep grief, and the shock of how suddenly it happened has made this painful time even harder to bear. Her daughters and their families are now doing their best to honor their mother (grandmother) while carrying the emotional and practical burdens that come with such a devastating loss,” the description reads.
