CBS’s Gayle King was given an unlikely seatmate during her cross-country trip, and the pair had a “good time” despite their differences.
King boarded her flight to discover she had been seated right next to Fox News personality Jesse Watters. While the two couldn’t be on more opposite sides of the political spectrum, an Instagram post reveals that they not only survived the flight without coming to blows, but they actually had a “good time” in each other’s company.

“Two TV people from competing networks walk on to a plane and to the surprise of them both, they’re seated right next to each other for over four hours. How did it go? Speaking for [Jesse Watters] here: A good time was had by all! Hi, Jesse…saving your number!” King wrote happily.
The pair’s good vibes weren’t shared by all commenters, who made clear their distaste for Watters.
“I respect and love you, Gayle. Your seat mate, however, is harming our country,” said one Instagram user.
“Why would you even post this?” asked another.
“This is really not cute at all,” snorted a third.
Meanwhile, over on X, people’s reactions were a little different:
Wow, people being nice to each other. Like most of us do all the time.

Gosh, who was it a few years back that was shunned and ostracized because they had the audacity to be cordial to President Bush at a football game?
Oh right, Ellen Degeneres.
What a weird world.

Two adults with different views who can still be friendly and respectful to each other….what a concept. This is maturity.

The terminally online just don’t understand that irl, most people get along, regardless of politics. That’s humanity. They’ve lost theirs.

Libs have no idea how to co exist with anyone on the other side. Always hilarious watching their meltdowns.

The extremists on both sides don’t seem to grasp that you can disagree politically and still exist along side each other and get along. But I guess that would require them to stop shouting at the sky long enough to realize it.
