A human chain of Boomers is the best Dems can do? ‘That’s a lot of elderly white crybabies’

Leftist protesters formed a “human chain” to lament deported illegal aliens and social media can’t stop talking about it.

Not because the 8-mile chain, which took place in Columbus, Ohio, was an effective message that changed the hearts and minds of pro-immigration law enforcement proponents, but because the people who made up the protest all had a lot in common.

Watch:

For a party that complains about how old and white Republicans are, this protest looked an awful lot like a retirement home ad.

Local newspaper The Ohio Dispatch reported that “thousands” attended the “Hands Along High Street” protest to stand against President Donald Trump’s administration and its policies.

“Protestors who spoke to The Dispatch had a long list of issues with the Trump administration. They spoke about cuts to Medicaid, the push for deportations and the camps built to house detainees, the Supreme Court, corruption, misinformation and much more,” the outlet explained. “According to a lengthy statement of values, organizers opposed cuts to national agencies, tax cuts for the rich and military aggression against Ukraine, and supported continued international aid to countries in need, Medicare and Social Security programs, climate change research and regulations and the rights of immigrants, among other causes.”

The article also claims that many of the people in attendance were less worried about the individual policy issues, and more concerned about America’s move toward “fascism” under Trump.

“Today is about democracy over a dictatorship,” shouted a woman identified as Brenda Taylor. “People ask, why didn’t they do something back in 1938, when everything was happening with fascism and Hitler? This is what we need to be doing. … It’s happening now.”

X users couldn’t help but take notice the overwhelming demographic:
