Blue state seditionists are digging in against the Trump administration’s aggressive crackdown on criminals in Democrat-controlled cities, with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem being blocked from entering a local government building in Illinois.
As Illinois Governor JB Pritzker continues to ratchet up his inciteful rhetoric against Trump over the deployment of federal troops to crime-ridden Chicago, his minions at the Village of Broadview in Cook County prevented Noem and her staff from entering the public building when they tried to use the restroom, an outrageous act of disrespect for a top-ranking federal official.
In a Friday post to X, the DHS chief shared a video of the incident at the Village of Broadview Municipal Building, which is about 12 miles west of downtown Chicago, as she and her team attempted to enter the facility but were met with resistance from those inside who blocked the doors as though they were manning the ramparts to defend a sacred fortress against infidel invaders.
My team and I were just blocked from accessing the Village of Broadview Municipal Building in Illinois. We were stopping for a quick bathroom break. This is a public building. The Village of Broadview receives at least $1 million in federal funding every year.

“My team and I were just blocked from accessing the Village of Broadview Municipal Building in Illinois. We were stopping for a quick bathroom break. This is a public building. The Village of Broadview receives at least $1 million in federal funding every year,” Noem wrote, sharing video from a conservative podcaster and influencer, Benny Johnson.
“This is how JB Pritzker and his cronies treat our law enforcement. Absolutely shameful,” she added.
In the footage, Noem and her crew are seen approaching the doors and asking, “Can we use your restroom?”
“No you cannot!” someone inside the building is heard saying.
“OK, all right, thank you,” Noem calmly replied before walking away.
Village officials defended the rude treatment, claiming that the DHS secretary just showed up without an appointment to meet with Mayor Katrina Thompson, who wasn’t in the building at the time.
“Since DHS Secretary Kristi Noem appeared this morning, unannounced, at Broadview’s Village Hall asking for a meeting while Mayor Katrina Thompson was out of the building, the mayor returned her visit,” said Village of Broadview spokesperson David Ormsby in a statement, Fox News reported.
“Mayor Thompson went to the ICE center, accompanied by the Broadview Police Chief Thomas, and officers, to ask for the illegal fence to be dismantled. The mayor was told by agents at the gate the secretary was unavailable to meet,” he claimed.
But DHS disputes that version of the story.
“She didn’t ask for a meeting. She asked to use the restroom. This is insane,” DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News.
Pritzker escalated the already tense situation amid increasingly violent attacks on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents that have been encouraged by Democrats with their inflammatory rhetoric.
Secretary Noem should no longer be able to step foot inside the State of Illinois without any form of public accountability.
Last time when the secretary was here, she snuck in during the early morning to film social media videos and fled before sunrise.

“This is what we have to put up with every single day,” Noem told Johnson.
“All we’re doing is getting criminals and terrorists and heroin and gang members off the streets to make families safer,” she added.
