After horrific Hanukkah shooting, Bernie’s worried about Islamophobia

It should come as no surprise that the first thing leftists are concerned about after an antisemitic massacre is… Islamophobia.

Democrats were quick to react to the horrific Bondi Beach Hanukkah shooting, which resulted in the deaths of 15 people, by calling for an end to both antisemitism and Islamophobia. This comes after it was reported that the alleged gunmen, one of whom was shot dead at the scene, committed the “terrorist attack inspired by ISIS.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was among those who said that the man who bravely confronted one of the gunmen and successfully disarmed him is also a Muslim.

“Ahmed al Ahmed, a Muslim father of two, risked his life to disarm a murderer who was shooting down Jews celebrating Hanukkah in Sydney. Religion must not divide our common humanity. We must stand together and end antisemitism, Islamophobia and all hate — no exceptions,” the lawmaker posted.

What a fascinating and telling reaction, considering how leftists react to shooters of any other race, religion, gender, etc.

“Bernie, Ahmed is a hero precisely because he did what you refuse to do: he physically fought Islamic terror. You cynically use one man’s bravery to obscure the reality that the butchers—Sajid and Naveed Akram—were jihadists driven by the very ideology you protect. You conflate “Islamophobia” with the actual slaughter of Jews to create a false moral equivalence between the victim and the aggressor. Ahmed stopped the killers; your policies import them. Stop using his courage to launder your cowardice,” one user wrote.
