Alex Jones reinstated after Elon Musk polls X users – Geraldo dumps in his diaper

The people have spoken and the five-year ban on internet personality Alex Jones has been lifted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, and leftists melted down even before the votes were in, including Geraldo Rivera.

On Saturday, X owner Elon Musk who is a self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist” put the matter of restoring the account of the Infowars bad boy to users, days after Jones was featured on Tucker Carlson’s show on the platform, “Tucker on X” where the “most censored man in the English language” was allowed to speak for himself.

Prior to the results being finalized – Jones easily won – the longtime journalist who recently retired from Fox News dumped his diaper over the idea that the bombastic host would be allowed to regain his access to the platform, the sole remaining truly free speech outlet for those with views not in total lockstep with the Biden regime and the globalist elite.

“As you contemplate whether #AlexJones should be restored to X, remember why he was excommunicated: he lied about the savage nature of that horrible mass murder of little children, and then inflicted emotional distress on their survivors. He is despicable,” Rivera wrote, claiming that Jones was silenced over the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.

“The people have spoken and so it shall be,” Musk announced on X after the vote to restore Jones was finalized with the supporters of the infamous host outnumbering pro-censorship users 70-30 percent.

Musk cited principle over profit in responding to concerns over Sandy Hook: “I vehemently disagree with what he said about Sandy Hook, but are we a platform that believes in freedom of speech or are we not? That is what it comes down to in the end. If the people vote him back on, this will be bad for financially, but principles matter more than money.”

During his interview with Carlson, Jones said that the real reason why he was de-platformed wasn’t over his comments about the school shooting but his confrontation of CNN’s Oliver Darcy who has used his position to push for censorship.

Last year, Musk also put the issue of whether the account of former President Donald J. Trump should be restored after he was banned by the previous censorship regime that he ousted after taking over.

The people also spoke in favor of free speech although the 2024 GOP frontrunner has only posted once since he was allowed to return, sharing his mugshot after he was booked at the notorious Fulton County jail on ginned-up charges brought by rabidly partisan Dem DA Fani Willis.

Allowing Jones back on X isn’t likely to endear Musk to leftists who have been conducting a dishonest campaign to compel major companies to pull their advertising from the platform.

“The move from the billionaire Musk, who has promoted conspiracy theories himself and elevated a number of extremist voices since taking over the platform, is likely to impact X even further as companies distance themselves from the troubled platform, which has seen hate speech and conspiracy theories surge in the wake of his decisions,” Darcy’s employer said, sniffing about the “unscientific” poll.
