American among six ‘murdered’ hostages found in Gaza – killed by Hamas to prevent their rescue

A 23-year-old American citizen who was among those abducted during the barbaric Hamas attack on Jewish civilians last year was among six bodies recovered by the Israeli military on Saturday.

Hersh Goldberg-Polin was badly wounded during the cowardly sneak attack on October 7, 2023, when he was taken captive by the Islamist savages who carried out atrocities and slaughtered over 1,200 people in the shocking incursion into Israeli territory that precipitated the war in Gaza.

Goldberg-Polin and the others were “cruelly murdered by Hamas just a short time before we got to them,” said Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari of the victims whose bodies were recovered from the terror tunnel network under Rafah, a Hamas stronghold.

The three men and three women were snatched by the terrorists during the brutal assault on the Nova music festival in southern Israel. The IDF said it “took many hours to officially identify the bodies and notify the families,” after they were killed by Hamas guards to prevent them from being rescued.

“He who murders abductees – does not want a deal. We are in a difficult day. The heart of the entire nation was torn,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement. “Along with all the citizens of Israel, I was shocked to the core by the terrible cold-blooded murder of six of our abductees.”

President Joe Biden was “devastated and outraged” by the news. “It is as tragic as it is reprehensible,” said the absentee leader in a statement. “Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes. And we will keep working around the clock for a deal to secure the release of the remaining hostages.”

Goldberg-Polin had a part of his arm blown off during the attack on the music festival with graphic video of his abduction posted to social media.

“With broken hearts, the Goldberg-Polin family is devastated to announce the death of their beloved son and brother, Hersh. The family thanks you all for your love and support and asks for privacy at this time,” the tragically murdered young man’s family said in a statement.

Goldberg-Polin’s parents recently spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Vice President and Democrat nominee Kamala Harris also condemned Hamas in a statement that isn’t likely to please the terrorist sympathizers of her base, especially in Michigan.

“Hamas is an evil terrorist organization. With these murders, Hamas has even more American blood on its hands. I strongly condemn Hamas’ continued brutality, and so must the entire world. From its massacre of 1,200 people to sexual violence, taking of hostages, and these murders, Hamas’ depravity is evident and horrifying,” she said.

“The threat Hamas poses to the people of Israel—and American citizens in Israel—must be eliminated and Hamas cannot control Gaza. The Palestinian people too have suffered under Hamas’ rule for nearly two decades,” the veep added.
