A new poll has found that a majority of Americans oppose sweeping changes proposed for the Supreme Court.
Conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy, the poll found that 52 percent of Americans oppose “amending the U.S. Constitution to change the structure of the U.S. Supreme Court,” as reported by Fox News.
Only a 41 percent minority of radicalized Americans — presumably leftists — support restructuring the high court.
Asked about court packing in particular, 59 percent of Americans opposed the idea, while an even smaller 34 percent (around the size of the Democrat Party) supported it.

The poll also found that a majority of Americans believe that “plans to expand the membership of the U.S. Supreme Court are primarily motivated by political objectives,” and that “an independent judiciary is a crucial safeguard of our civil liberties.”
All this is a huge rebuttal to the Democrat Party and its anti-American agenda, which in recent years includes calls for the Supreme Court to be completely restructured and packed with leftist judges.
Less than a month ago, President Joe Biden announced a new plan “to reform the Supreme Court and ensure no president is above the law.”
Except for him, of course:

“In recent years, the Supreme Court has overturned long-established legal precedents protecting fundamental rights,” according to a Biden administration press release. “This Court has gutted civil rights protections, taken away a woman’s right to choose, and now granted Presidents broad immunity from prosecution for crimes they commit in office.”
“At the same time, recent ethics scandals involving some Justices have caused the public to question the fairness and independence that are essential for the Court to faithfully carry out its mission to deliver justice for all Americans,” the press release continues.
Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, Biden’s current vice president, reportedly supports this agenda but wants it to be carried out in a way that is even “more aggressive.”
“Her staff and mine have been in touch through the administration — off and on, I would say — because I saw her as an ally who could be willing to take a more aggressive position on the judiciary issues we were dealing with,” Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse told reporters last month, according to Politico.
Whitehouse is notorious for disrespecting Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas:

Politico notes that Harris began calling for changes to the court as early as 2019.
“We are on the verge of a crisis of confidence in the Supreme Court,” she told Politico at the time, adding that “everything is on the table.”
As a senator, she also co-sponsored bills calling for the Supreme Court to adopt a code of Democrat-approved conduct for ethics.
“The American people must be able to trust that our system of justice is fair,” she said in a press release at the time. “To safeguard public confidence in the integrity of our system, Supreme Court justices must be held to the highest standards of conduct.”
“I’m proud to support this bill to bring some common sense ethics to the conduct of our Supreme Court justices,” she added.
Democrats at this year’s Democrat National Convention have also been attacking the Supreme Court.
For instance, Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow claimed that the high court has made former President Donald Trump “completely immune from prosecution.” That, of course, is a lie.
“Sadly, such poisonous attacks on the highest court are likely to be a staple of this week’s convention,” according to a Wall Street Journal op-ed by columnist James Freeman.
“Thank goodness most Americans still don’t endorse them, according to the new Mason-Dixon poll commissioned by the First Liberty Institute, which advocates for religious freedom,” he added.
